Naming and
the FDA Approval Process.
It's important
to know how a product name will be received by the FDA's Labeling and
Nomenclature Committee.
During the
creation of the name and in assessing name candidates, we
consider what bearing a certain name will have on the FDA's drug review
process.
Medibrand
tests name candidates in "real life" situations. During our evaluation
process we simulate a physician's writing and telephone communication
of the name candidate.
Medibrand
can then make this information available to the FDA nomenclature committee
if so desired. With
this information, the FDA may objectively decide upon the
approval of your trade name. If your company has already had a name
that has been rejected, Medibrand can assist you in developing a
strategy for addressing the FDA rejection issues.
